The doors of our Illumina shop in Truro were closed in the summer and although it was sad to say goodbye to New Bridge Street and all our wonderful customers, nothing stays the same. We now concentrate on our lighting design service, which had become the driving force of the shop over the last few years, and have also set up our new company and website The Wooden Lamp Company (www.thewoodenlampcompany.co.uk). These are lamps made from sustainable wood that we have designed and produced ourselves and co-ordinate with vibrant shades to add a bit of wow to a room.<div>Meanwhile we have been busy designing projects in Fowey, St Mawes, Peterborough and Guernsey to name a few. The shop has had a bit of a revamp with our feature wall being re-papered in Susie Hoodless wallpaper and a fresh new leather sofa ready for customers to use when they are looking at our numerous catalogues or discussing lighting design schemes.<br /><br />During the summer various lighting consultancy work was completed including a newbuild property in Feock and the Well Dental practice where we installed energy efficient wall lights and ceiling lights which, apparently have been very popular. We are pleased with them as well but are not sure that the photos here totally do them justice.<br /><br />More lighting design work under way and lots of new stock arriving, including some lovely colourful mini Tolomeo desk lamps by Artemide - a rainbow of colour and fun at the same time as being very ergonomic.
